Our Story
How we started a woodworking company —
I t all started with a family conversation around the Thanksgiving table in 2019, where the idea for a mid-century modern sit/stand desk was created. After many months of pooling our family’s professions and passions (aeronautical engineering, architecture, and fine art), the Everyday Desk was born. Soon, we ventured into other custom mid-century furniture, and our business took off. We are so grateful for the ideas and dreams that each one of our customers have brought to our business and we’re excited for what the future holds!
Who We Are
Frailey Woodworks is a family-run, handcrafted furniture and design company founded in 2020 by father and son, James and Asher Frailey. Our company is built upon the same values we hold as the Frailey Family - work with wisdom and honesty, love your family, honor God, serve others, and make things beautiful with the talents you have been given. We are on a mission to make heirloom quality, timelessly designed fine furniture.
What We Do
Our forte is in providing full-scope custom furniture. That means working with the client through every step of the process from initial design, through the building of the piece, all the way to seeing it arrive safely at your door. Our commitment to honesty and trust drives our customer service; that’s why every client gets to view the progress of their piece as it is being made in real time through a shared Google Photos album.
Whether you are interested in a piece that is already in our catalog, but just want it modified to fit your space, or if you are looking for something new, designed entirely from the ground up, we can make it happen!
Our Inspiration
Many of our furniture designs are influenced by the ‘mid-century modern’ principles of straightforward, clean lines and curved elements in which the form accentuates the beauty of the wood and exposed joinery. Of course, the middle of the 20th century was the zenith of the vinyl record and the advent of stereo mixing that only heightened its popularity. With the current resurgence of vinyl, a substantial part of our business at Frailey Woodworks is dedicated to custom record consoles.
Where We Live and Work
Fort Worth, Texas is known as the place where the West begins. You can feel that is true here at our location in Weatherford, Texas, just 30 miles west of Fort Worth, where you can find prickly pear cactus, roadrunners, and wide open vistas of the Texas sunsets.
